Story: THE ANDERSON EXTENDS THE MAIN STREET FABRIC TO THE CORNER OF DAVE LYLE BOULEVARD, BECOMING A BOOKEND FOR THE PROMINENT APPROACH TO REVITALIZED DOWNTOWN ROCK HILL.
Due to the sloping Main Street site, we were able to fit a partial basement at the building main entrance on Dave Lyle Boulevard. This allowed us to create a mixed-use feel through the placement of the housing lobby and amenity spaces at the corner.
During the design of the building, we were very focused on putting as many front doors on Main street as possible. The stoops and stairs were designed with strong connections to the iconic row housing of older cities like Boston and New York City, helping to create a vibrant and exciting backdrop for many of Rock Hill’s signature downtown festivals.
