Story: 3030 SOUTH WAS THE FIRST URBAN VILLAGE, TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT CREATED ALONG The LYNX LIGHT RAIL LINE IN CHARLOTTE. 

The four-acre, former brownfield site combines residential and live/work townhomes adjacent to the New Bern Street light rail station. During the creation process, we researched historical precedents, current transit goals, and contemporary architecture. The townhomes feature historically proportioned facades with contemporary details, rooftop terraces, and two-car garages. All of the interiors are open with high ceilings and tall windows. Some of the flats are oriented to a private garden square while others directly face the light rail line. These townhomes create a wonderful storefront streetscape leading to the New Bern station.
