FMK Architects has long embraced the principle of practicing as a “generalist” design firm. Our decision to participate in such a wide range of project types, from multifamily to medical office, continually challenges our design staff, broadens our exposure to a never ending array of problems to be solved, and only enhances our overall architectural design aptitude. We have chosen to be multi-dimensional versus one dimensional, a quality that should continue to benefit our firm as buildings are constantly becoming more multi-use and mixed-use in nature.

To better organize our portfolio and showcase our project diversity, we have grouped our project experiences into seven different project type categories – Adaptive Re-Use, Commercial, Community, Healthcare, Master Planning, Mixed-Use and Multifamily. Historically, FMK Architects has experienced a majority of work in certain key markets areas – Multifamily and Healthcare. We hope to continue to grow and mature in all seven categories, and add even more categories in the future, as FMK Architects excels in new and emerging markets.
